Buddy Loren Entertainer – G’Day and Welcome!
Buddy’s Family name is Anthony John Lorenzo, and was born in New York and raised near Boston USA. His first exposure to show business was as a singer with his older brothers big band. In high school, he joined The Vicleffs at Doo Wop vocal group as a lead singer and went on to appear at supper clubs throughout the USA.
These clubs proved to be Buddy’s training ground as not only did he work with great stars and legends, he also watched and learned from the great nightclub comedians of the time.
In between his own shows, Buddy was able to meet and spend time with his idols and in some cases opened the show with an early spot before going on to do his band sets. Among his celebrity
“A lot of people don’t realise what a great act Bobby Darin was…I mean he could sing all styles of music, do great impressions, play instruments and do comedy. He had a reputation of having a bit of an edge but I found him to be a warm, funny and humble person”.
In the early 1970s, Inspired by Darin, Buddy wrote an act for himself and went solo traveling throughout the United States performing his show in all types of clubs even doing a season with a country and western band in Shreveport Louisiana!
He got his first break when he was booked at the 500 Club in Atlantic City a club part-owned by Frank Sinatra. Buddy was a big hit and this led to engagements at leading hotels in Europe.
A stint entertaining at US Bases in Germany led him to England where he produced and starred at a top London Club that featured star guests such as the legendary jazz great Dizzy Gillespie.
While performing in England, Buddy was spotted by an agent doing a Stan Laurel impression. The agent was so impressed, he signed Buddy to perform together with Sir Harry Secombe in a Laurel & Hardy sketch/song routine for a three month summer season at the Winter Gardens Theatre.
Of this experience Buddy says “Performing with Sir Harry was one of my more cherished moments in show business….he was a great talent and a wonderful human being”.
More overseas contract offers led Buddy to Australia where he headlined at the lucrative Sydney League Clubs before basing himself in West Australia where he regularly shuttled back and forth to South East Asia doing performing for premier multinational companies at their special events.

Attracted by the beauty of the Southwest, Buddy and his wife Trish decided to settle in Perth a good go-between for his performances in the eastern states and SE Asia.
In 1992, Buddy performed at an International Convention in Singapore where he appeared along with several Las Vegas acts. Buddy’s performance stole the show and he was inundated with offers to do convention and corporate events. He formed companies in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and became one of the most requested and sought-after Corporate Entertainers in SE Asia, and the most popular entertainer on the leading cruise line in SE Asia, Star Cruises.
Continually updating and improving his show, Buddy sings in 24 languages and his versatility has kept him in high demand to perform for audiences of all ages and nationalities.
Now proudly an Australian citizen Buddy and Trish make their home in Mandurah Quay and he regularly commutes overseas to perform at prestigious corporate events.
